The post office will no longer be delivering mail on Saturdays! While the date that this change will be effective is unsure, we should still be prepared. Don't let your rent be late because the check is in the mail - be sure to account for one less day of mail delivery!
To avoid any late fees you can always sign up for recurring payments! The payments can be pulled out of your checking or savings account. You can also choose to have it come from your credit or debit card. You can even specify what day you want it to go through (1st or 3rd of each month). Stop by or call us to discuss recurring payments further!
Keep Your Refrigerator Working Properly
Regular cleaning of your refrigerator will keep it working properly and safely. The following are guidelines for taking care of your refrigerator.
Clean the interior shelves, shell and gaskets every 3 months.
Once a year, clean the coils on the back or underneath and make sure temperatures are set correctly.
Tangy Pork Nachos
Ingredients
2 cups baked corn chips
1 cup slow-cooked orange pulled pork
1 cup corn and black bean salsa
1 cup shredded Cheddar
1/2 cup sour cream, optional
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. In an oven-proof baking dish add half of the corn chips in a single layer. Cover with half the pork, half the salsa, and then half the cheese. Continue layering with remaining ingredients ending with the cheese. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted, bubbling and lightly browned. Top with sour cream, if desired, and serve hot.

Fair housing laws prohibit a landlord from treating a tenant unfairly because of their protexted class. Protected classes include a person's race, skin color, national origin, religion, gender, disability, parental or familial status and marital status. All persons have one of more class attributes. Discriminatory treatment may occur if you are treated differently than other tenants or prospective tenants because of one of more of your class attributes.
Fair housing laws protect you when you are looking for rental housing as well as when you are living in rental housing.
In addition to protection from discrimination, tenants with a disability are also entitled to reasonable modifications and reasonable accommodations, if necessary to allow them to use and enjoy the housing.
Modifications are generally at the expense of the tenant and with the permission of the landlord. The landlord cannot unereasonably withhold permission, but can require that the tenant agree to restore the housing to its orginal condition for those modifications that will substantially alter the housing for tenants without a disability (such as lowering cabinets).
In addition, tenants with a disability have a right to reasonable accommodations in rules, policies, practices or services of the housing if needed by the tenant to use the housing. Reasonable accommodations and modifications must be requested by the tenant in writing. Additional documentation from a healthcare provider can also be required to substantiate the request. Requests can be made when applying for housing or during an established tenancy. You should receive a response to your request within 10 business days or even sooner if you are applying for housing.
Mid-Land Management, Inc. is committed to providing fair, quality and comfortable housing for everyone.
